Herzing University’s MBA program prepared me for the challenges of the business world. I have gained the knowledge that I need in order to suggest changes or share valuable information with others at my workplace. For many people, success is obtaining a big promotion or an executive position. For me, success is improving my knowledge and feeling confident that I will succeed in my career. Herzing gave that to me.

I was referred to Herzing University through a friend who was a Herzing graduate student at the time. I would sometimes help him study, and he got me thinking about going back to school. I was in the process of reevaluating my career options, and I decided to pursue my MBA in project management at Herzing.

My classes inspired me to think more critically about my current career and gave me new ideas for how I could approach various projects at my company. Herzing’s courses allowed me to tie what I experienced on the job to what I was learning in the classroom, and much of what I learned has helped me in my career today. In addition, the faculty were always there for me; my professors and advisors really cared about my success and they helped me grow both professionally and academically.

I am currently working at Northwest Exterminating as a Project Coordinator. One of the most important things that I learned while at Herzing is how to run a business effectively and how each team member is important for growth. I am glad to have learned about Herzing and all it has to offer, and I would recommend the school to other professionals who are looking to advance their education and their career.

My goals were to finish and to be an honor student. I knew this would be challenging, but with determination, dedication, self-discipline and effort I accomplished both goals.

To my grandchildren, I’m honored to say ‘Grandma got her hood!’” she said during the ceremony. “To the Class of 2020, the pandemic doesn’t take away from the significance of this day in our lives or from what we have achieved.

I was referred to Herzing by a friend, and from my first call to the end of my enrollment, the process was very smooth and stress-free. The staff was not only patient but very helpful during my time here. I’d like to thank Erin, Candy and Lyndsey for their help in particular. All of them were great help with questions I had and answered my emails promptly!

As soon as I heard about Human Resources, I instantly fell in love with the career. The 8-week completion of classes with small breaks in between made this MBA journey go by very quickly, and I loved the pace of the courses. Speaking of which, My Business Law and Human Resources courses were specifically valuable in preparing me for my career because a lot of what I learned I am now implementing at my current employer.

After taking a year off after graduating from my undergraduate program, I thought I would not acclimate quickly toward being a student again, but Herzing made it easy for me. I was surprised how quickly I became adjusted to student life again, despite all the challenges it entails.

I faced two challenges while earning my degree, the first one is accepting a new job position. Beginning a new position can be very challenging and stressful, especially as an HR professional. The second challenge was my mom unexpectedly being admitted to ICU during finals week. Thankfully, I overcame these challenges with my professors who were very understanding and worked with me during these difficult times. The support of not just my family but also my professors is what helped me overcome these challenges, and I’ll never forget that.

Above all, my strength and efforts of wanting to complete my MBA encouraged me to graduate most. My dream is to one day become the greatest Chief Human Resources Officer I can. After graduation, I will be getting promoted to a management position and couldn’t be more excited to be one step closer to my dream!

My advice for other students pursuing a degree in my field is to be patient because hard work truly pays off. There will be courses that will appear harder than others, but everything is possible if the effort is put in. If you have the love and passion for this field, you will not regret the time put into pursuing this career.

When I learned about Herzing’s Badge to Grad initiative for police officers, I was inspired to fulfill my lifelong dream of obtaining my MBA. I completed my undergraduate education in 1978—it had been almost 37 years since I wrote my last academic paper—but I knew that I was ready for a new challenge. Although my undergraduate GPA did not qualify me for automatic enrollment into the MBA program, I was overjoyed and very grateful to be granted admission by Dr. Kelly May, Dean of Academic Programs.

I loved my experience at Herzing. My first weeks of class were not easy, but my instructors and professors were very dedicated and they helped me develop the writing, leadership and business skills that I needed to be successful. Herzing’s P.R.I.C.E of success model has also taught me the value of hard work and motivated me to succeed in both my professional and personal life. Thanks to Herzing, I have the confidence, knowledge and problem-solving skills that will allow me to pursue advanced career opportunities in the business field. I feel very prepared for the next chapter of my life.

I’m extremely proud of achieving my dream and graduating with a 4.0 GPA, but more importantly, I am looking forward to giving back to the world of business. There are myriad job opportunities in my field and I hope to become a director of security, marketing or business operations. For those of you who wish to take on a fantastic challenge, I invite you to come join our family at Herzing University. The sky is the limit for you. You too can be a Herzie!

I completed my bachelor’s in engineering which gave me basic technical knowledge in my career, and I considered getting a graduate degree in the United States. I wanted to add to my knowledge of the business world without requiring a lot of job experience. That is why I decided to get my MBA from Herzing.

The MBA degree at Herzing is fast-paced and packed full of useful information. I learned that to make yourself more marketable in the corporate world, you should make sure your skills and expertise are in line with your field of study.

Landing a good job was a challenge for me, especially being an international student with little connections. However, the skills I acquired from Herzing University helped me network with the right employers. I am working as a Business Analyst, and I hope to get some certifications done to help me move up the corporate ladder.

If you want a friendly, family-like environment, come to Herzing University MBA program. Additionally, Herzing’s accelerated classes and lack of a waitlist is like no other university in Kenosha. All of the courses were helpful to me and my career. My advice is to pace yourself and leave any negative people or influences behind. Never give up!

I have worked for Wells Fargo for 10 years, and I decided to pursue my MBA a few years ago to help advance my career. After encountering some challenges with my previous school, I was ready to give up. But, then I found Herzing. Having a family and a full-time job while going to school was challenging, but Herzing restored my faith that it was possible.

Herzing’s MBA program taught me to think critically and strategically. My instructors had experience that brought a real-world feel to the classes, and they helped me understand how I could apply classroom learnings in the workplace. Since graduating from the MBA program, I have become a better leader and manager within my organization. I am a learner at heart, and I feel like my education at Herzing will make a difference in how I manage my career going forward.

At Herzing, I always felt supported. My instructors and advisors really got to know me. I was not just a name or another voice on the phone; I was a person. A new class never went by without my advisor checking in with me and making sure that I had everything that I needed to be successful. That made all the difference.

I went back to school because I wanted to set a positive example for my daughter, and I walked across the commencement stage before she started kindergarten. I am incredibly proud to say that I am a Herzing graduate and I have no doubt that my degree and the great experience that I had at Herzing will support my long-term career success.

When I came to Herzing University, I already had a bachelor’s in management information systems with over two years’ experience in an IT role, but I chose to get my MBA in Technology Management to advance my career. Herzing’s program and welcoming environment assured me I was making the right choice.

The degree requirements were challenging – in a good way – plus the environment and professors were great to work with. They motivated me to work hard and stay engaged through the duration of my program.

There is a vibrant international student community that is supported by the student services and the international admissions team at the Atlanta campus. The activities on campus brought about a great sense of camaraderie which enabled me to maintain my focus on my academics.

My advice to future students is to stay engaged, work with career development and ask for help.

In China, I had majored in International Economics and Trade, so I chose to complete my MBA at Herzing University through their international program.

The first couple of months were tough for me since English is not my first language. It was also my first-time having class in an English-speaking atmosphere. The professors were nice and patient with me, and they gave me guidance and suggestions so that I could adjust and learn classroom procedures. As time went on, I really came to enjoy my classes. I learned a lot while at Herzing and made lots of wonderful friends along the way!

After graduation, I stayed another year for optional practice training (OPT) and received a couple of job offers, but ultimately decided to return to China where I am now working in Shanghai.

My advice to students is to always be enthusiastic both in school and during daily life! You’d be surprised how strongly everyday events can impact you and your future.

The professors helped me greatly because they had extensive knowledge of their field. They brought real-life examples and real-life scenarios to the classes and to our conversations.

Business has always been something that interested me, so when I found Herzing’s MBA program, I knew it was right for me. While all the staff were helpful, those in the International Student Department really deserve a shout-out. They showed me that I could do it and helped me every step of the way.

Initially, I found that looking for a job was a challenge. Thankfully, Herzing was there to help me with suggestions on how I could fix my resume. They gave me tips and helped me edit my resume so that I could stand out better in the job market. It paid off — I managed to land a job as a Manager Assistant in a warehouse company.

I’m so happy I came to Herzing. It was a great way for me to learn the English language, gain experience in another country’s work culture and I got a wonderful education while doing so!

After earning my BSN, I decided to re-enroll at Herzing. Despite already achieving so much, I wanted to expand my career into new horizons. I felt that to truly be successful in Healthcare Administration, I’d need to earn my MBA. Thanks to Herzing’s staff, specifically Steven Lucas, I was constantly pointed in the right direction toward achieving my goals.

During my educational journey, I found that time management with two children was quite the challenge. Setting dates and practicing time management was a key factor in overcoming this challenge so that I wasn’t overwhelmed. Once I got into a rhythm, I found it easier to achieve a successful schedule, especially since my assignments were spaced out properly by my professors.

I learned that staying on top of your syllabus and talking to your teachers as concerns arise are key ways to stay successful. I also found that classes like Project Management, Finance, Leadership & Management and Capstone prepared and set me up for career success the most.

Currently, I’m already employed at a local clinic. Eventually, I’ll be looking to use my degree for a salary increase, promotion, or to delve into something entirely new.
